Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann has initiated a large-scale campaign to register and revalidate 10 lakh construction workers across the state, waiving the registration fee of ₹145 to encourage participation. Currently, only 2.21 lakh workers are registered with the Punjab Building and Other Construction Workers’ (BOCW) Welfare Board, which is deemed insufficient given the ongoing construction activities in the region.
