The alert comes as the search for Nancy Guthrie, an 84-year-old woman missing since January 31, 2026, continues to draw national attention. Guthrie's family has expressed frustration over the lack of new leads nearly 100 days after her disappearance.

Authorities described Howard as a Black woman, standing 5 feet 2 inches tall and weighing about 130 pounds, with gray hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a white jacket, a white shirt, and light gray pants. Police are urging residents to remain vigilant and report any information regarding Howard's whereabouts.

In the ongoing investigation into Guthrie's case, authorities are carefully reviewing tips and evidence. Recently, a strand of hair was sent to the FBI for DNA testing, with Sheriff Chris Nanos indicating that they might be getting closer to identifying a potential suspect. However, he also warned that if the labs indicate they can no longer pursue leads, it may signal the case has gone cold.
