The Lok Ayuktha can act on complaints or initiate proceedings on its own. The failure of government officials to comply with the Lok Ayuktha's directives could also lead to contempt charges. Additionally, the draft rules allow for the consideration of apologies, which may result in the discharge of punishment. The Lok Ayuktha would also have the authority to issue warrants for absconding individuals and attach their properties. These rules are intended to ensure timely implementation of orders and enhance accountability.
