The Maharashtra state education board has approved a new curriculum framework for Class 6, which will be implemented in the upcoming academic session starting in June. This decision was announced by Dada Bhuse, the state's school education minister, during a meeting at the Maharashtra primary education council office. The new curriculum aligns with the National Education Policy and emphasizes a competency-based, learning-outcome-oriented structure. Alongside the new Class 6 framework, curricula for Classes 2, 3, and 4 were also approved earlier. Textbook development will be prioritized by Balbharati to ensure that materials are ready before the academic year begins. Additionally, training programs for teachers on the new curriculum will be conducted at both state and district levels to ensure effective implementation.
