The Kerala General Education Department has confirmed that the results for the Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) exams will be announced on Friday, maintaining the schedule set earlier. During a Quality Improvement Programme (QIP) meeting, Director of General Education N S K Umesh assured that textbook distribution is progressing well, with plans to complete it before schools reopen on June 1. The Examination Board will convene on Wednesday to finalize the results, and Higher Secondary results are also expected to be released on time. Additionally, a meeting with District Collectors will address the fitness certificates of school buildings. Teacher union leaders expressed concerns about summer vacation training, leading to a decision for online training at state and district levels, while local training will continue as usual. The Managing Director of KBPS, the government printing agency, confirmed that 27.5 million out of 35.7 million textbooks have been printed, dispelling rumors of a distribution crisis.
