Ryan Morgan, a 27-year-old from Rochdale, was sentenced on June 5 after police discovered hundreds of indecent images of children on his devices. The investigation began when his ex-partner reported him over concerning messages and images of herself being shared from his Instagram account. Upon examining Morgan's phone and computer, authorities found a total of 258 category A images, 41 category B images, and 48 category C images, with some depicting children as young as seven. Morgan had also sent an indecent image of another ex-partner when she was aged between 14 and 16. Despite denying downloading the images, he pleaded guilty to multiple charges, including possessing and distributing indecent images of children. In court, Morgan expressed remorse for his actions and acknowledged the distress he caused. He received a 14-month suspended sentence for 18 months, was ordered to complete 225 hours of unpaid work, and is subject to a Sexual Harm Prevention Order for five years.
