The Visakhapatnam Port Authority (VPA) has achieved significant recognition by winning two gold trophies at the Greentech CSR Awards 2026 for its outstanding contributions in the fields of Healthcare Promotion and Skill Development in Andhra Pradesh, India. The awards ceremony is set to take place during the Greentech CSR Summit in New Delhi on May 12 and 13, 2026. In the healthcare sector, VPA's initiatives included funding mid-day meals for students in unaided schools and installing high-quality water filter units to enhance access to clean drinking water. Additionally, the port introduced Arogyam Preventive Health and Safe Drinking Water ATM units. To improve public safety, VPA provided 100 air-conditioned helmets to traffic personnel and implemented drone surveillance systems within harbour limits. The second gold award recognized the port's commitment to skill development, which included distributing sewing machines to empower women and offering vocational training programs for tribal youth in the Alluri Sitharama Raju district.
