On Thursday morning, two women were attacked in the Bhimgarpur area of Bhubaneswar, Odisha, by two men on a motorcycle. The attackers reportedly hit the women, dragged them along the road, and assaulted them. Witnesses reported that locals rushed to the scene after hearing the women's screams, resulting in one of the attackers being beaten to death by the mob. The other attacker sustained serious injuries and is receiving treatment. Allegations of attempted rape were made against the assailants, prompting police to investigate the motives behind the attack. One of the accused has been taken into custody for further questioning as the investigation continues. The injured women are currently being treated at a local hospital.
