This allocation, approved by the MCD Commissioner, will fund various sanitation initiatives, including the hiring of vehicles, machinery, and manpower for garbage collection across multiple zones in the city. In the West Zone, the MCD plans to hire 50 light motor vehicles equipped with auto-tipping facilities and 30 medium motor vehicles, alongside backhoe loaders for efficient garbage removal. Shahdara (South) will see the deployment of 52 vehicles, including tipper trucks and loaders, to manage mixed waste collection over six months. The Najafgarh Zone will also benefit from CNG-run vehicles and eight HYVA trucks for clearing garbage.
