On Wednesday, a tornado warning was issued for South central Jefferson County and North central Oswego County in New York as severe thunderstorms capable of producing a tornado approached the area. The National Weather Service (NWS) reported that at 5:07 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Sandy Island Beach State Park, moving northeast at 30 mph. Residents were warned that flying debris could cause injuries and that mobile homes might be damaged or destroyed. Key locations affected include Sandy Island Beach State Park, Pulaski, and Adams, with Interstate 81 between exits 37 and 41 also at risk.
