The University of Central Florida (UCF) rowing team, currently ranked No. 12, has successfully qualified for the NCAA Division I Women’s Rowing Championships for the second year in a row after sweeping the Big 12 Championship. This achievement is significant as it marks the first time the Knights have made consecutive NCAA Championship appearances since their five-year streak from 2015 to 2019. UCF is one of ten programs from the university competing in NCAA postseason events in the 2025-26 season, tying the record for the most NCAA appearances in a single year. The NCAA Championships will feature 22 teams competing in three events: I Eights, II Eights, and Fours, each covering a 2,000-meter course. UCF's first boat, the 4+, is seeded eighth, while the 8+ is seeded tenth, and the second 8+ is seeded 17th. Coach Mara Allen, honored as Big 12 Coach of the Year, has led the team to first-place finishes in nearly all races this season. Junior Brigitte Kappler received the Big 12 Rower of the Year award, and freshman Madison Lovejoy was named Big 12 Newcomer of the Year.
