On Monday, the Haryana government executed a transfer of six Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers, including the deputy commissioners of Panipat and Palwal districts, as part of a broader bureaucratic reshuffle involving 18 Haryana Civil Service (HCS) officers. Chief Secretary Anurag Rastogi announced the changes, with Virender Kumar Dahiya moving from DC of Panipat to the role of special secretary for secretariat establishment, while also retaining his responsibilities as director for environment and special secretary for environment, forests, and wildlife. Harish Kumar Vashishth has been appointed as the new DC of Panipat, taking over from Dahiya, and Jainder Singh Chhilar has been designated as the DC of Palwal. Other significant transfers include Samwartak Singh Khangwal as administrator of HSVP Faridabad and additional director of urban estate, and Shashvat Sangwan, who will serve as CEO of Haryana Parivar Pehchan Authority along with his ongoing duties as mission director for the Swachh Bharat Mission (urban).
