Mahindra & Mahindra, a leading automotive manufacturer based in Chennai, India, is significantly enhancing its artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities. The company predicts that its AI initiatives will generate an additional ₹4,100 crore (approximately $494 million USD) in revenue by FY27. This strategic move is aimed at improving quality, customer experience, and market reach, with the expectation that it will lead to job creation rather than losses. Mahindra's Group CEO and MD, Anish Shah, emphasized the potential of AI to enhance customer satisfaction by 2-3 percentage points and reduce product development timelines by 10%, thus accelerating time-to-market for its SUV offerings. The company has already seen success in its recent SUV launch, generating 17,000 test drives through AI-enabled outreach efforts. In the financial services sector, Mahindra Finance plans to leverage AI for a 20% increase in customer conversions and aims for 80% of customer onboarding to be facilitated by AI processes. The company also reported a standalone revenue of ₹147,765 crore for FY26, marking a 25% increase from ₹118,625 crore in FY25, with a net profit rise of 32% to ₹15,639 crore.
