The Chhattisgarh government has transferred 42 Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers, including seven district collectors. The changes were announced by Rajat Kumar, secretary of the General Administration Department, on May 6, 2023, as part of a routine administrative reshuffle.

On May 6, 2023, the Chhattisgarh government executed a transfer of 42 Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers, which included the reassignment of seven district collectors. The order was issued by Rajat Kumar, secretary of the General Administration Department. Among the notable transfers, Manoj Kumar Pingua, a 1994-batch IAS officer, was promoted to serve as the Additional Chief Principal Secretary for the Department of Forests and Climate Change. Rajendra Kumar Katara, previously the Collector of Balrampur-Ramanujganj, has been appointed as Special Secretary for the Health & Family Welfare Department, taking on additional responsibilities as Director of Ayush and Registrar of Firms & Societies. Additionally, D Rahul Venkat, the Collector of Manendragarh-Chirmiri-Bharatpur, has been made Commissioner of the Tribal and Scheduled Caste Development Department. The transfer also includes Sanjay Kannauje, the Sarangarh-Bilaigarh Collector, who will now serve as Director of the Culture Department. Mayank Agrawal, an Indian Forest Service officer, has been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of the Chhattisgarh Infotech Promotion Society (CHiPS).
