Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy emphasized the importance of decentralised governance and integrated urban planning for Hyderabad's future growth during the launch of projects worth ₹1,511.5 crore in Malkajgiri. He highlighted the need for substantial infrastructure investments to support the city's population of 1.34 crore living within the 160-km Outer Ring Road (ORR). Reddy noted that merely branding Hyderabad as an international city would not suffice; planned investments in various sectors such as roads, drainage, and civic services are essential. Among the key projects launched are the Malkajgiri Municipal Corporation office complex, alternative road connectivity works around the AOC Centre, and a six-lane flyover under the Hyderabad City Innovative and Transformative Infrastructure (H-CITI) programme. Additionally, a new 100-bed district hospital is set to be constructed, and a citizen-centric urban governance platform, CURE-1, was introduced to facilitate access to government services.
