Gurugram police have successfully apprehended two individuals linked to a digital scam, including a former team manager at a travel firm who was working as a freelancer. The manager, an MBA graduate residing in Meerut, had previously facilitated bank accounts in a ₹78 lakh fraud case in 2025. Following directives from the new Police Commissioner, the police have been rigorously investigating digital scams. Technical tracing led to the arrest of a bank account holder from Bihar, whose account was used for transactions amounting to ₹24 lakh. This individual had sold his bank account to the scammers for ₹70,000. The police are continuing their efforts to identify and apprehend other suspects involved in this scam, highlighting the ongoing commitment to tackling digital fraud in the region.
