The results of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Class 12 examinations for 2026 revealed that students from Uttar Pradesh performed below the national average, with a pass percentage of 77.22% compared to the national average of 85.20%. This marks a decline from the previous year's pass percentage of 88.39%. A total of 379,573 students registered for the exam across 75 districts, with 375,837 appearing and 290,237 passing. Among the three regions in Uttar Pradesh, the Lucknow region achieved a pass percentage of 82.21%, while Prayagraj recorded the lowest at 72.43%. The Noida region placed 20th with a pass percentage of 79.02%. Southern regions, particularly Trivandrum, excelled with a pass percentage of 95.62%, continuing the trend of strong performance from that area.
