In a tragic incident on Sunday night, eight people were killed when a speeding car ran over bystanders in Ambedkar Nagar district, Uttar Pradesh, India. The accident occurred around 11:30 PM near Ashrafpur Bhua village on the Jalalpur-Akbarpur road, where locals had gathered to assist two injured motorcyclists following a collision. The police reported that six individuals were declared dead at a community health center, while two critically injured victims were later transferred to a district hospital and succumbed to their injuries, raising the death toll to eight. The deceased have been identified as Kaifi (32), Uttam Kumar (24), Aditya Kumar (25), Lalchand (24), Raju Gupta (32), Chhotu, and two unidentified individuals. The driver of the car fled the scene, and police are actively working to apprehend the suspect while conducting a thorough investigation.
