The Delhi Government's Directorate of Education (DoE) has announced that remedial classes for students in Classes 9, 10, and 12 will be conducted from May 11 to May 23, 2023, coinciding with the summer vacation period. These classes are designed to reinforce essential concepts and enhance overall learning outcomes. Scheduled from 7:30 am to 10:30 am, the classes will consist of three one-hour sessions each day. For Classes 9 and 10, the primary focus will be on science and mathematics, although school heads may include additional subjects based on students' academic needs and teacher availability. In Class 12, the selection of subjects is entirely at the discretion of the heads of schools. Parents must provide a no-objection certificate for their children to attend, and library facilities will remain open for self-study. The DoE has mandated that deputy directors of education visit at least two schools daily to oversee the effective implementation of these remedial classes.
