Students and faculty at Delhi University (DU) are expressing frustration over the university's repeated changes to the examination dates. The latest revision states that undergraduate exams will commence on May 16 and conclude on June 14. Abha Dev Habib, secretary of the Democratic Teachers’ Front (DTF) and a professor at Miranda House, highlighted that the datesheet has been altered four times, initially released in late March, which had most exams scheduled for June. Following protests from teachers regarding invigilation during vacation, the schedule was adjusted, but further changes have led to confusion and stress for students. Many are struggling to balance exam schedules with internship commitments and entrance tests for postgraduate programs. A student shared her plight of having exams on May 18 and 20, conflicting with an important entrance test. The Miranda House Students’ Union president, Priyanka Rani, noted that the sudden revisions have added pressure on students who had already planned their study schedules. Additionally, exams scheduled on weekends have raised concerns about adequate revision time, further exacerbating student stress. Faculty members have criticized the university's administration for its inefficiency and lack of coordination in managing the exam schedule.
