The Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT-M) has launched three new AI courses on its digital learning platform, Swayam Plus, as part of the 'AI for All' initiative. These courses are tailored for beginners and require no previous coding or AI knowledge. The offerings include 'AI for Aspiring Engineers,' which aims to provide foundational skills in Python, AI, and machine learning using real engineering datasets, with a fee of ₹500. The other two courses, 'AI for Administrators' and 'Prompt Engineering,' are priced at ₹100 each and focus on helping management professionals leverage AI for informed decision-making and teaching learners how to interact with AI systems effectively. Registration for all courses is currently open and will close on May 10. R Sarathi, dean (planning) at IIT Madras, highlighted that Swayam Plus has successfully hosted over 500 online courses in various fields over the past two years.
