Aakash Singhal, hailing from Bahraich district in Uttar Pradesh, has secured All India Rank 11 in the UPSC Indian Forest Service (IFoS) Examination 2025 after four attempts. His journey began in 2021, during which he faced numerous challenges, including failing to clear the prelims stage for three years and narrowly missing the cutoff in the Civil Services Aptitude Test (CSAT) by just one mark. Despite these setbacks, Aakash remained motivated, inspired by a friend's words that suggested he was destined for UPSC rather than the Provincial Civil Services (PCS). He decided to focus exclusively on the IFoS, which proved to be a pivotal decision. Aakash's preparation involved strategic study techniques, including limited resources, multiple revisions, and solving previous year questions. He also pursued a master's degree in Geography from Indira Gandhi National Open University while preparing. Acknowledging the vital role of family support, he emphasized the importance of mental, financial, and emotional backing during this challenging journey.
