The National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) has ramped up the printing of newly introduced Class 9 textbooks to tackle a significant demand-supply mismatch caused by the rollout of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020-aligned curriculum. In an official statement, NCERT highlighted that the digital versions of these textbooks were made available for free on its official website nearly two weeks ago. The council acknowledged the surge in demand due to the new curriculum and confirmed that all textbooks for Class 9 have been published, with the exception of the Social Science book, which is in its final preparation stage. To facilitate access, NCERT is employing various distribution channels, including a nationwide vendor network, sales counters at regional centers, and online platforms like DIKSHA and ePathshala. The organization is also directly supplying textbooks to schools that place bulk orders, ensuring that students and educational institutions can obtain the necessary materials without disruption during this transition period.
