Nagaland University, located in Dimapur, has introduced a new four-year undergraduate science program at its Multi-Disciplinary Research Centre (MDRC). Applications for these programs will be accepted from April 27 to May 18. The MDRC offers core courses in physics, chemistry, mathematics, zoology, and botany, along with ability enhancement and value-added courses aimed at providing a comprehensive educational experience. The program follows a Flexible Choice-Based Credit System (FCBS), allowing students multiple entry and exit points, enabling them to earn a certificate after one year, a diploma after two years, and a bachelor's degree after three years. Additionally, students can pursue a bachelor's degree with research, which can lead to direct admission into PhD programs. This initiative aligns with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, focusing on a multidisciplinary and research-oriented undergraduate education, equipping students with essential academic foundations and practical skills for future studies and careers.
