In a significant administrative reshuffle, the Bihar government has transferred and assigned new responsibilities to several senior IAS officers. K Senthil Kumar, formerly the Additional Chief Secretary of the Sugarcane Industry Department, has been appointed as the Additional Chief Secretary of the Labour Resources and Migrant Workers Welfare Department, while also overseeing the Backward Classes and Extremely Backward Classes Welfare Department. Vinod Singh Gunjyal, the Chief Electoral Officer of Bihar, has been assigned additional responsibilities for the Education Department. Other notable appointments include Rajesh Kumar as Principal Secretary of the Public Health Engineering Department and Pankaj Kumar Pal as Secretary of the Road Construction Department. Changes were also made at the commissioner level, with Prem Singh Meena taking on additional duties for the Bhagalpur division and Anshul Kumar, the District Magistrate of Purnea, becoming the commissioner of Purnea division. Additionally, Shrikant Kundlik Khandekar and Gunjan Singh have been appointed as joint secretaries in the Chief Minister's secretariat, marking a notable shift in the state's bureaucratic landscape.
