On Wednesday, the Bihar government approved significant amendments to its Electric Vehicle policy, aiming for 30% of all new vehicle sales in the state to be electric by 2030. This initiative, led by Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary, seeks to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and improve air quality. To promote electric vehicles (EVs), the government will implement the 'Chief Minister Bihar Environment-Friendly Transport Employment Scheme', providing incentives for the purchase of electric commercial vehicles, two-wheelers for women, and non-commercial four-wheelers.
