As temperatures in Rajasthan soar above 40°C, travelers in Jaipur are eager to escape to cooler summer destinations such as Srinagar, Leh, and the Northeast. However, Jaipur Airport offers no direct flights to these popular locations, forcing holidaymakers to detour through Delhi or take lengthy train journeys. The only flight to a hill station is an Alliance Air service to Kullu, which operates just once or twice a week and is often canceled, leaving travelers stranded. Additionally, Jaipur's connectivity to the Northeast is limited to a single route to Guwahati, with no access to other major cities. This lack of direct flights has made travelers heavily dependent on Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport, increasing travel costs and fatigue. With the tourism season in full swing, there are increasing calls for airlines and airport authorities to introduce direct flights to Jammu, Srinagar, Leh, and cities in the Northeast to enhance accessibility and boost local tourism.
