Shares of Tango Therapeutics (TNGX) skyrocketed more than 50% to an all-time high following the release of promising results from its pancreatic cancer trial. The company reported a remarkable 92% objective response rate (ORR) for its experimental drug Vopimetostat when combined with Revolution Medicine’s Daraxonrasib. Wolfe Research responded by upgrading TNGX to 'Outperform' and increasing its global peak sales estimate for Vopimetostat to approximately $2.6 billion, while also raising the odds of success to 75%. Mizuho analyst Joseph Catanzaro echoed these sentiments, indicating that the data points to potentially improved long-term outcomes and adjusting the price target to $36. The Phase 1/2 study also indicated that 90% of patients experienced progression-free survival after six months, with no severe treatment-related adverse events reported. Tango plans to advance this combination therapy into Phase 3 testing as a chemotherapy-free treatment option.
