On Tuesday, the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) conducted a buy-bust operation in Manila, resulting in the seizure of shabu worth P1.02 million and the arrest of a 50-year-old suspect identified as a documented drug personality. The operation was executed along Sta. Maria Street in Barangay 818-A, Zone 88, with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency's authorization. Police recovered four heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing a white crystalline substance believed to be shabu, totaling approximately 150 grams. Additionally, a P500 buy-bust bill and a black body bag used to conceal the narcotics were found at the scene. The suspect is currently in police custody and will face charges at the Manila City Prosecutor’s Office for violating Sections 5 and 11 of the Republic Act No. 9165, also known as the Dangerous Drugs Act.
