Weather forecasting maps indicate that 27 cities in the UK could see snow starting on April 26. The GFS weather model predicts initial flurries in the Midlands, north-west England, and northern Scotland around 6 AM. By 9 AM, snow is expected to spread to regions just north of London, Wales, Northern Ireland, and parts of Yorkshire. Cities such as Birmingham, Liverpool, and Manchester will likely be affected. As the day progresses, snow will cover much of northern England and Wales, with the heaviest snowfall in northern Scotland. While most areas may see accumulations of less than 1 cm, the Scottish hills could receive up to 6 inches. The Met Office notes that while temperatures are expected to be warm later in the month, unsettled weather conditions could lead to rain or showers following the initial snowfall.
