Delhi Police have dismantled a sophisticated scam targeting NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) aspirants, arresting four individuals, including the alleged mastermind Santosh Kumar Jaiswal and a doctor named Akhlaq Alam. The operation was initiated following a tip-off from Surat Police about fraudulent activities in Delhi. The suspects had lured 18 students, some of whom were minors, under the pretense of providing them with fabricated exam questions before the NEET (UG) 2026 exam, which took place on May 3. The gang reportedly demanded between ₹20 lakh and ₹30 lakh (approximately $24,000 to $36,000 USD) per candidate, collecting original mark sheets and signed cheques from parents. During the police operation, 149 pages of fake question-answer material and other incriminating documents were recovered. A case has been registered under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), and the investigation is ongoing to apprehend additional members of the network.
