Following his prayers at the Tiruchendur Murugan Temple, he is set to travel to Shirdi to worship at the Sai Baba Temple. The 'Chathru Samhara Pooja' he performed is a traditional ritual believed to help individuals overcome adversities, particularly in the context of political challenges. Historian Nanditha Krishna emphasized the historical significance of Murugan as a war god, noting that Tamil kings historically worshipped before battles. Vijay's efforts come amid personal challenges, including his wife's divorce petition, as he faces off against the ruling Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) and the opposition All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK). The Tamil Nadu elections are characterized by a five-way contest, with the DMK seeking re-election and the AIADMK aiming for a comeback after previous defeats.
