In 2025, the Dubai Integrated Economic Zones Authority (DIEZ) achieved a historic non-oil trade performance, totaling Dh491 billion, which is a 46% increase compared to the previous year. This marks the fifth consecutive year of growth for DIEZ, with its trade value now four times higher than in 2020. The authority's share of Dubai's non-oil trade rose to 16% amidst a backdrop of the emirate's external trade exceeding Dh3 trillion. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, praised the results as a reflection of Dubai's economic resilience and adaptability to global shifts. Imports were the primary driver of this growth, with machinery and electronics comprising over 70% of trade activity, while the precious metals segment expanded significantly. China was the top trading partner, followed by Saudi Arabia and India, highlighting DIEZ's pivotal role in enhancing Dubai's global trade position.
