Hundreds of Buddhist monks, nuns, and devotees gathered at Dorje Drak Monastery in Shimla, Himachal Pradesh, India, for a five-day series of teachings led by His Eminence 7th Namkhai Nyingpo Rinpoche. Participants from India, Nepal, Bhutan, and countries like China and the United States are attending this significant event for followers of the Dorje Drak lineage of the Nyingma tradition of Tibetan Buddhism. The teachings include empowerment sessions and oral transmissions based on sacred tantric practices, aimed at preserving the ancient spiritual traditions of the Nyingma School.

A major highlight of the gathering is the presence of Yangshe Rinpoche, the young reincarnate lama recognized as the successor of Kyabje Taklung Tsetrul Rinpoche. The child monk, who has been studying at the monastery since 2022, is considered vital for the continuation of the Dorje Drak lineage. Monastery authorities expressed their joy over the teachings, emphasizing their importance for spiritual preservation and guidance for younger monks. Acharya Sedup Lodoe Zangpo noted that the teachings are crucial for maintaining the sacred Nyingma tradition and for the spiritual growth of the younger generations.
