The addition of a 48-volt mild-hybrid system enhances performance further, contributing an extra 23 horsepower and 151 lb-ft of torque. The GLC53 is equipped with an AMG-tuned 9-speed automatic transmission and offers an optional electronically controlled limited-slip rear differential, introducing a drift mode for the first time in an AMG SUV. Inside, the vehicle features an 11.9-inch central touchscreen, although the infotainment system is noted to be a generation behind newer models. The GLC53 will be available in both traditional and coupe styles and includes a new Golden Accents Package for enhanced aesthetics.
