The upcoming film 'Daadi Ki Shaadi', starring Neetu Kapoor, Kapil Sharma, and Sadia Khateeb, is set to release on May 8. Recently, the film faced allegations of plagiarism, claiming it was inspired by a Pakistani telefilm of the same name that aired in March 2026. Actress Sadia Khateeb addressed these rumors, stating that the film's title was announced in December 2025, prior to the Pakistani production's release. Khateeb emphasized that their storyline is unique, focusing on a family matriarch who unexpectedly finds love and decides to remarry. She praised Neetu Kapoor for her supportive nature on set, describing her as a delight to work with. Additionally, Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, Neetu's daughter, is making her Bollywood debut at 45, sharing her emotional connection to the project and her late father’s influence.
