The Netherlands is a significant source of foreign direct investment (FDI) in India, and Mann's visit seeks to leverage this relationship. He highlighted Punjab's advantages such as its strategic location, strong industrial clusters, and a progressive policy environment. The delegation plans to conduct roadshows and meetings with global corporations to showcase governance reforms like the FastTrack Punjab single-window system, which streamlines over 173 government-to-business services. However, opposition leader Bikram Singh Majithia criticized the visit, questioning its purpose and the financial implications amid Punjab's economic challenges.
