Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini announced that the state has achieved a remarkable 81.48 lakh metric tonnes of wheat arrivals during the 2026-27 rabi marketing season, marking the highest figure in four years. The CM highlighted that approximately ₹21,044 crore worth of wheat has been brought to mandis by around 5.8 lakh farmers. Digital reforms are set to enhance the procurement process, with farmers receiving QR code-based J-forms through WhatsApp starting next week. The upcoming Kisan App will provide essential services such as J-forms, payment statuses, and crop verification details, ensuring a smoother experience for farmers. The procurement process has also seen improvements in transparency, with 13.47 lakh digital gate passes issued and monitoring through 932 CCTV cameras. Additionally, the commission for arhtiyas has been raised to ₹55 per quintal to support farmers affected by crop damage from unseasonal weather.
