Sheriff Jason Ard emphasized the dangers of such technology, noting that the child had no idea they were talking to a 40-something man. This case is part of a broader crackdown on child predators in Louisiana, with Attorney General Liz Murrill highlighting the alarming number of tips about online child exploitation. Murrill stated that many parents remain unaware of the threats, as the internet has replaced traditional dangers like the 'white van' that children were once warned about. Despite Roblox's claims of implementing over 100 safety features, lawsuits allege that the platform remains a target for predators.
