Social media users shared clips from a vlog by teammate Arshdeep Singh, suggesting that Chahal was using a vape while traveling with the team. The video has since gone viral, leading to discussions about flight safety and the behavior of celebrities. According to the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) regulations, vaping and smoking are prohibited on flights, prompting criticism of the apparent double standards applied to celebrities. Former Indian cricketer Ravichandran Ashwin weighed in on the matter, emphasizing the importance of young players being aware of their actions in public spaces. He urged players to keep personal choices separate from public behavior, highlighting the responsibility they hold as role models. This incident follows a previous vaping controversy involving Riyan Parag, who was fined during an IPL match for similar behavior. As of now, neither Chahal nor the Punjab Kings franchise has issued a statement regarding the allegations.
