Segawa secured the win with a fifth-round TKO, marking an extraordinary conclusion to his illustrious 30-year career in combat sports. In a reflective interview, Segawa shared his disbelief at the momentous occasion, stating, "Every morning when I wake up, I wonder if it was actually real." Throughout his career, he has overcome numerous challenges, including injuries, to finally capture the ONE Championship belt, which he had long desired.
