1047 Games has officially announced 'Empulse', a new title that serves as a spiritual successor to the beloved Titanfall series. This upcoming 6v6 multiplayer movement shooter is set to launch in Early Access in 2026. Players can expect fast-paced gameplay featuring mechanics reminiscent of Titanfall, including wallrunning, grappling, and the use of mechs. Each match will see two mechs on the battlefield, boasting heavy weaponry and substantial health, which players must strategize to defeat. The developers have expressed their commitment to community engagement, stating that they will incorporate player feedback into the game's development process. Notably, 1047 Games is the same team behind the Splitgate series, which has seen ups and downs in player reception. Although the first Splitgate was well-received for its innovative gameplay, the sequel struggled to maintain a player base. With EA focusing its resources on Apex Legends, 'Empulse' may be the closest fans get to a Titanfall 3 for the foreseeable future.
