The oath-taking ceremony took place at Central Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram, where Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar administered the oath to Satheesan and his Cabinet, which comprises 20 ministers, including 14 first-timers and representatives from various communities. In his first Cabinet meeting, Satheesan announced several initiatives aimed at fulfilling election promises, including free bus travel for women on KSRTC buses starting June 15, the establishment of a new department for elderly welfare, and a ₹3,000 (approximately $36 USD) increase in the honorarium for ASHA workers. Additionally, a Special Investigation Team (SIT) was formed to investigate attacks on Congress leaders during the Nava Kerala Yatra in 2023.
