Renowned filmmaker Priyadarshan has announced that he will commence shooting for his next film with celebrated actor Mohanlal in November. This project, which is a musical featuring 12 songs and a central family drama, holds special significance as it marks Priyadarshan's 100th film. In an interview, Priyadarshan described the film as complicated and expressed the challenge of casting a father character, ideally someone with a background in Carnatic and Hindustani music. He reminisced about his first film with Mohanlal, highlighting the rarity of this reunion. Mohanlal confirmed the collaboration on social media, emphasizing the emotional weight of reaching such a milestone together. The film will be produced by Antony Perumbavoor under Aashirvad Cinemas. Alongside this project, Mohanlal is preparing for the release of 'Drishyam 3' on April 2, 2026, and is involved in several other films, including a project tentatively titled 'L366'.
