The Philippine National Police (PNP) announced the arrest of four individuals involved in a flood control scandal in Bulacan, Philippines. The accused, identified by their aliases as 'Jun', 51; 'JP', 41; and 'Brice', 40, were apprehended during separate operations on June 25. A fourth individual voluntarily surrendered following coordinated tracking efforts. All four face serious charges of malversation of public funds or property through the falsification of public documents. The PNP stated that these arrests stem from alleged irregularities linked to a flood control project in Bulacan. Importantly, no bail has been recommended for the accused, indicating the severity of the charges. PNP chief PGen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. reiterated the organization’s commitment to upholding the law and ensuring that the accused are aware of their constitutional rights while in custody. The PNP is now preparing to transfer the individuals to the issuing court for further proceedings.
