On Wednesday, police in Khanna, Punjab, arrested two individuals, Deepak Shah from Dharampura Mohalla and Prem Nath, for snatching. The Sadar Khanna police recovered a .315 bore illegal country-made pistol and two live cartridges from them, along with a stolen motorcycle. The arrests occurred after police received a tip that the suspects were traveling towards Isru village on the stolen bike. Upon setting up a checkpoint near Rasulra village, police apprehended the duo and found the weapon during a search. A case has been registered against them under various sections of the Indian Penal Code and the Arms Act. During questioning, both suspects admitted to being involved in multiple snatchings and thefts in Khanna, Doraha, Samrala, and other districts, including Fatehgarh Sahib. The police are continuing their investigation to identify additional accomplices.
