In a significant move to facilitate the return to in-person learning, more than 10,200 yellow school buses have resumed operations across the United Arab Emirates. This service supports over 285,000 students attending 630 public and private schools nationwide. The decision, made by the Ministry of Education, follows weeks of remote education due to the pandemic. Emirates Transport, responsible for the bus operations, mobilized its teams immediately upon receiving the directive, ensuring that all routes, schedules, and safety protocols were in place. More than 10,000 qualified drivers and transport supervisors are overseeing the operations across the country, ensuring the safety and welfare of students during their daily commutes. The fleet remained prepared during the remote learning phase, undergoing preventive maintenance and technical checks at over 23 accredited service centers. Emirates Transport is committed to monitoring the services closely and has established a dedicated call center to address any concerns from parents and schools.
