Chariton County ranks 7th in Missouri for total outages and 4th for the highest percentage of customers affected among the state's 115 counties. Among the utilities operating in Chariton County, Evergy reports the highest number of outages, affecting 217 customers, while Howard Electric Cooperative has the highest outage rate, with 61.15% of its customers impacted. The situation is still developing as authorities monitor the weather conditions.
