Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has reached out to Chief Ministers, Lieutenant Governors, and Administrators across India, requesting their assistance to ensure the NEET-UG 2026 re-examination is conducted smoothly and securely on June 21. In light of the ongoing heatwave, he urged state and Union Territory officials to ensure that examination centers are equipped with essential facilities such as safe drinking water, adequate seating, functional fans, clean washrooms, shaded waiting areas, and uninterrupted electricity. Pradhan highlighted the importance of student welfare and called for cooperation to guarantee a transparent and fair examination process. He also emphasized the need for adequate transport arrangements for candidates. The National Testing Agency (NTA) is expected to release detailed guidelines and updates regarding the examination and admit cards in due course.
