During the INDIA bloc meeting held at the Constitution Club in New Delhi, Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut condemned the NDA government, asserting that the bloc's primary agenda is to 'dethrone the people who betrayed the nation.' Raut defended Rahul Gandhi against recent criticisms, labeling him as a significant and popular leader. He emphasized the necessity for a Prime Ministerial candidate for the upcoming 2029 General Elections, asserting that a united front is essential for the alliance's success. Despite these affirmations, the meeting revealed cracks within the alliance, as both the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) and the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chose not to participate. Congress leader Udit Raj expressed concerns that DMK's potential exit could lead to a weakened INDIA bloc, possibly aligning with the BJP. He also suggested that AAP, facing internal challenges, might eventually merge with the BJP if it continues to weaken. The meeting was attended by representatives from 23 political parties, aiming to strengthen their collective stance ahead of future elections.
